His name is Bun Bun, and he was found hopping forlornly in the neighbourhood. Whoever thought that it’s okay to abandon a rabbit by releasing it, is an idiot. There are stray cats that could prey on the poor animal and he could have died from ingesting grass that are constantly sprayed with insecticide. When my sister Whatsapped me about Bun Bun, I decided to adopt him.
I expected commitment and responsibility on my part, and space that had to be allocated to the bunny. However, I did not expect to like Bun Bun so much, it’s almost mean of me to say that I like Bun Bun more than my guinea pigs.
He goes to the litter tray to poop and pee on his own, without any training on my part. He sleeps under the bed and so does not even need his cage. I dismantled his cage after stupidly washing it every three days, for a month, before realising that he doesn’t even sleep in the damn cage. Now, all I gotta do is to sweep the floor daily for his little poop pellets, change his water and feed him twice a day, and only change his litter tray once a week.
Adopting Bun Bun is one of the best decisions that I’d made this year. I’m glad for his companionship and also never fail to marvel at how smart he is. Below are some photos of Bun Bun that I took for the past few weeks.
Now, if only he would allow me to carry him. Sigh~
Grooming photos.
My house is now cleaner, thanks to having Bun Bun around, as I now try to clean every corner thoroughly so that he doesn’t get his paws grey just from exploring undusted areas. How’s that for positive influence?
